Please see link on details of the blue badge eligibility criteria now extended for people with hidden disabilities. Last year the Alzheimer’s Society consulted people affected by dementia to understand their experiences and used this feedback as part of the societies response to a government consultation on the Blue Badge Scheme.

Local activities for those with dementia

We have lots of activities and in the local area for those living with dementia to get involved with. 
Whilst social distancing remains in place due to Covid-19 meetings will be suspended, please contact the individual organisers for more details

Wellbeing Cafe Ilkley

A place for people with dementia, their families and carers to express themselves, have tea, cakes, and chat and socialise with others in a fun and supportive way
Every 2nd Tuesday and 4th Wednesday of each month, 1.30-3.30pm

Let's Sing Together
An opportunity for those with memory problems and their family and carers to enjoy singing together for pleasure.  Make new friends and have fun, with free refreshments

Care and Wellbeing Cafe Ben Rhydding
​The cafe provides entertainment, refreshments and access to a wide range of support and advice for older people and their carers
